Corporations which strongly support Japanese Formula 3 from past to present
 

Panasonic (Electronic Products Manufacturer)

In 1988, Matsushita Electric House wares Manufacturing Works (currently as Panasonic) became the titled sponsor of Japanese Formula 3 Championship.  The Series named as “Panasonic Japan Formula 3 Championship” until 1991.

 

JT – Japan Tobacco Inc. (Cigarette & Beverages Manufacturer and Supplier)

In 1986, the era of tobacco industry in Japan, JT started to take part in motorsports as “CABIN RACING” with the brand “CABIN” widely.  In later years, while focusing on Formula 1, a worldwide promotion campaign under the brand “MILD SEVEN”
 

THREEBOND (Lubricants, Liquid gasket Manufacturer and Supplier)

THREEBOND started sponsoring the teams and drivers in the mid 1990s.  In 2000, “ThreeBond Racing” took part in the Series with their independently developed engine base on Nissan SR20VE and won the team title in 2011.

 

Achievement (Personnel Training Consultant Corporation)

It has been 3 years since Achievement became the main sponsor of the Series in 2010. Under the motto “To train up future Formula 1 drivers”, the corporation holds study meeting aimed at supporting the young drivers progressively at each event.

 
The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd (Official Tires Supplier)

Yokohama became the official partner of the Series since 2011 by supplying one
make dry and slick tires to all the machines at Japanese Formula 3 Championship as the support to young drivers. 

 

Toyota (Engine supplier, Training and Education of Drivers)

Aside from supplying Toyota TOM’S 1AZ-FE and Toyota TOM’S 3S-GE, the
specialized engines to Japanese Formula 3 Championship, as a part of “TDP” – Toyota Young Drivers Program, the training program which sent Kazuki Nakajima and Kamui Kobayashi to F1, TDP has been sending young drivers to the Series.

 

Honda (Engine supplier, Training and Education of Drivers)

While providing HONDA M-TEC MF204C engine to Japanese Formula 3
Championship, Honda has been sending young drivers from HFDP (Honda Formula Dream Project) to take part in Formula 3 races for the train up of young drivers.  This project has turned out drivers such as Koudai Tsukakoshi, Takuya Izawa, Yuki Nakayama, Naoki Yamamoto and Takashi Kobayashi, etc, who are taking part in Super GT and Formula Nippon.

 

Nissan (Training and Education of Drivers)

Drivers from Nissan’s training program, NDDP (Nissan Driver Development Program), mainly take part in Japanese Formula 3 N Class races.  In 2011, Katsumasa Chiyo from NDDP won the championship in N Class.
