●第3戦もてぎで松下信治が嬉しいF3初優勝
　F3-Nでは久保凛太郎が2勝目を飾る

　全日本F3選手権の第2ラウンドがツインリンクもてぎを舞台に、今シーズン唯一の3連戦として開催されることになった。土曜日の予選で第3戦のポールポジションを獲得したのは、HFDP RACINGの松下信治。金曜日の練習走行でトップだった勢いをそのままに、最初のアタックでマークした1分45秒348は、最後まで誰にも破られることはなかった。
「チームが速くなるためにいろいろやってくれて、僕もいろいろ勉強してきたことが、ようやく結集したように思います。このまま勝って締めくれれば最高ですね」と松下。これにPETRONAS TEAM TOM'Sの山下健太、B-MAX Racing Team with NDDPの高星明誠と佐々木大樹が続くことになった。
　また、F3-NクラスではHANASHIMA RACINGの小泉洋史が初のポールポジションを奪い、2番手にはTOCHIGI Le Beausset Motorsportsの久保凛太郎、そして3番手にはTAIROKU EXCEEDの山口大陸が続くこととなった。

◎スタートからPP松下がギャップを拡大
　14周で争われる決勝レース第3戦は、予選に引き続き天候に恵まれ、絶好のドライコンディションで行われた。好スタートを切ったのはポールシッターの松下で、自ら苦手と語るスタートをまずまず決めた山下はポジションキープに成功するも、すぐ背後には高星が迫る。1コーナーで高星に並ばれた山下ながら、なんとかインを抑えて逆転は許さず。その後も激しい攻防を繰り返した結果、山下は前の松下との差が一気に広がってしまい、また高星もPETRONAS TEAM TOM'Sの勝田貴元の先行を許すことに。
　オープニングラップを終えると、松下のリードは早くも2秒以上。これを序盤は広げ続けていき、山下もペースを上げるも、両者のギャップは縮まらない。その背後では高星がファステストラップを記録し、貴重な1ポイントを加算することともなったが、高星も山下には肉薄出来ない。結果的には、松下がオープニングラップで築いた貯金が活きる格好となり、逃げ切りに成功。HFDP RACINGにとって2012年岡山大会での野尻智紀以来となる久々の凱歌、自身にとっては嬉しいF3初優勝を飾ることとなった。
「ここまで支えてくれた家族、友人、そしてチームやホンダの皆さんにとても感謝しています」と松下。そして、3周目には勝田を抜き返した高星が3位でフィニッシュした。

◎小泉の猛追かわし、久保が優勝！
　F3-Nクラスではポールの小泉がエンジンをストールさせて完全に出遅れてしまい、代わってトップに立ったのは久保。4番手に後退した小泉選手はオープニングラップのうちにひとつ順位を挽回し、さらに3周目にはEXEDY RACING TEAMの三浦愛をかわして2番手に。続いてトップにも迫った小泉ながら、久保は隙を見せず。
「自分にもミスがあって、差を広げることはできませんでしたが、昨年1年間走り込んだコースで最初のレースを勝つことが出来、いい流れを作れたと思います」と久保は今季2勝目を喜んでいた。2位に甘んじた小泉に続いて3位でゴールしたのは三浦。久保、小泉同様、3戦連続で表彰台に立つこととなった。

● Matsushita Claims His First Victory in F3 Kubo Scores His Second Win

  Twin Ring Motegi was the only circuit to hold three F3 races in one week this season. Keeping up the best performance in Friday’s practice session Nobuharu Matsushita of HFDP RACING secured pole on Saturday for the Rd.3. No one could beat 1m45.348s that he set on his first attack.
“The team did a lot of things to make the machine faster and I’ve studied hard. All these things now come to fruition,” said Matsushita after the qualifying. “I’ll be more than happy if I can turn this into a victory.” Kenta Yamashita qualified second ahead of the B-MAX Racing Team with NDDP pair Mitsunori Takaboshi and Daiki Sasaki.
In F3-N class Hiroshi Koizumi (HANASHIMA RACING) secures his first career pole, followed by Rintaro Kubo (TOCHIGI Le Beausset Motorsports) and Tairoku Yamaguchi (TAIROKU EXCEED).

◎ Pole-sitter Matsushita Opens Up His Lead
The good weather continued throughout a total of 14 laps of the third race. The pole-sitter Matsushita got a good start in the dry conditions while Yamashita got an acceptable start to him with Takaboshi right behind him. Despite being caught by challenger into the first corner Yamashita kept the inside line and held on to his position. In the course of repeated duels Yamashita was finding himself increasingly distanced from Matsushita, while Takaboshi even conceded the third spot to Takamoto Katsuta (PETRONAS TEAM TOM’S).
Matsushita already pulled away by over 2 seconds at the end of the opening lap and then was extending the lead in the early stages. Yamashita was also picking up speed but the gap was not reduced. A little back down field Takaboshi scored valuable 1 point with setting the fastest lap, but he was also unable to close in on Yamashita. The big lead earned through the opening lap ended up putting Matsushita on top of the podium. It was the first win for HFDP RACING since Tomoki Nojiri won an Okayama race in 2012, and it was also his first career win in the F3 championship.
“I am very grateful for my family, friends, the team and Honda for the support,” said Matsushita. Takaboshi took back his spot from Katsuta on lap 3 to finish 3rd.

◎ Kubo Fends off Koizumi to Win
In F3-N class Koizumi bogged down with stalled engine and was immediately jumped by Kubo. This late start relegated the pole-sitter to 4th but Koizumi snatched back one place even before the opening lap was completed, and overtook Ai Miura (EXEDY RACING TEAM) on lap 3. He went on to engage in another catch-up attempt, but Kubo gave him no chance to come back, and secured his second win.
